Intro to Stewardship
Stewardship
We are all stewards of the many gifts bestowed on us by our loving and generous God gifts of time, talent and treasure. Everything that we are and everything that we value and cherish comes from God, who calls upon each of us - as stewards - to receive his gifts gratefully, cultivate his gifts responsibly, share his gifts lovingly and return those gifts to him with increase. The ministries at St. Alexis Parish provide us with many and varied opportunities to give our time and talent in response to Gods call to stewardship. This booklet contains a listing and description of the ministries, committees and organizations currently active at St. Alexis, which exist to meet the many needs of our parish, our community and beyond. Volunteers serve all of these ministriesand we need more help! As a member of this parish community, you are a steward, and we need you to be an active steward! We invite you to participate in one or more ministries and share your time and talents. Perhaps you can suggest a new ministry for which there is a need.We are all stewards! Scripture teaches us that we are to share Gods gifts in justice and love with others, and return these gifts with increase to the Lord. Through reflection and praying to God about his blessings in your life, about what this parish means to you and what it can mean to others, you will find the path to embrace stewardship as a way of life. How will you give back to God your gifts of time, talent and treasure? If you would like to join any ministry, or if you have any questions about other ways that you can contribute your time, talent or treasure, please call the Parish Center at 724-935-4343 or go to the signup form on this page.
